Setup of Ordering Formulas:
Utilities > Setup > Module Parameter
Click the Auto Re-Ordering Formulas radio button and click setup
Edit existing or add new formula
Tick the option you require to be considered in the custom ordering formula (as required)
Take not of ... button on RATE OF SALE setup with additional options.
to apply a rate to a group of products can be achieved from the custom formulas maintenance screen. select the custom formula and select APPLY TO STOCK ITEMS
A full list of all stock items will apear in the window, but its recommended to filter out the group of products (ex. by supplier, department, name)
once you have your filter loaded (and correct) hit Apply to apply the custom order formula to the filtered items.
The 2nd option is by editing a single item and linking a custom ordering formula, In Stock > Maintenence edit the item you whish to link to a custom formula. on the ordering tab select the CUSTOM option and the correct ordering formula you created.
Generating a Purchase order from custom ordering formulas (auto order)
Create a new PO (Processing > Purchase Orders > Processing button > new) and select the supplier you want to order from. then click or press F4 button for Auto Order
It will give the option of Regular Supplier or Alternative Supplier, this will then look at the selected supplier for the PO for items where they have been setup as Regular supplier or alternative depending on your selection.
Change Order Quantities to Populate Order QTY's based on Order formulas > accept
al list of all items listed under the selected supplier for PO will show. giving you the opertunity to filter a certain range of items fro mthe supplier if wanted to. Clieck accept to get PO generated with suggested qty's based on order formula calculation.
